1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Raquel Jimenez Insurance ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information through raqueljimenezinsurance.com (the "Site").

We are an independent insurance agency located at 3320 S Dodge Blvd, Tucson, AZ 85713, appointed with Farmers Insurance and licensed to transact insurance in Arizona under CA License #7684338 ().

As an insurance agency, we are a "financial institution" under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA"), and the personal information you give us to obtain insurance is also protected under Arizona's Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act (A.R.S. Title 20, Chapter 11 et seq.). This policy serves as our privacy notice under those laws.

2. What this policy covers

This policy covers information collected through the Site, including our online quote request form and the ZIP-code quote starters on our coverage pages.

It does not cover the separate privacy practices of the insurance carriers who underwrite policies, including Farmers Insurance Exchange and its affiliates. Once your information is submitted to a carrier for underwriting, that carrier's own privacy notice governs how it handles your information. It also does not cover information you give us offline, by phone, or in our office, although we treat that information consistently with this policy.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

When you complete our quote request form, we collect:

  • Contact and identity information — your first and last name, mailing address, email address, phone number, and date of birth
  • Demographic information used for rating — gender and marital status, which insurance carriers use to calculate premiums
  • Vehicle information — the year, make, and model of each vehicle you want covered, and the number of drivers on the policy
  • Property information — property type, approximate age, square footage, and number of stories
  • Current insurance information — whether you are currently insured and, if so, your current carrier

We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, payment card numbers, or bank account information through this Site. If a carrier requires that information later in the application process, it will be collected through the carrier's own secure systems, not through this website.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address and approximate location — we use a geolocation service to estimate your city, state, and ZIP code so we can pre-fill parts of the quote form and show locally relevant information
  • Device and browser information — such as browser type, device type, and screen size
  • Usage information — the pages you view, the links you click, and how you arrived at the Site (for example, the search engine or advertisement that referred you)

Information from service providers

  • Address suggestions — when you begin typing your address, we use Google Maps Places to suggest complete, standardized addresses
  • Contact verification — we use a verification service to check whether the email address and phone number you provide appear valid and deliverable, which reduces errors and prevents fraudulent submissions

4. How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Prepare and deliver the insurance quote you requested
  • Contact you about your quote by phone, text message, or email
  • Submit your information to insurance carriers and underwriters so they can evaluate and price coverage
  • Verify that the contact information you gave us is accurate
  • Service your policy and respond to your questions if you become a client
  • Measure and improve the performance of our website and our advertising
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with our legal, regulatory, and licensing obligations, including recordkeeping requirements imposed by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions

5. Who we share it with

We share your personal information only as described here.

Insurance carriers and underwriters

To get you a quote, we submit your information to insurance carriers, primarily Farmers Insurance Exchange and its affiliated companies. This is the core purpose of a quote request, and it is why we collect the information in the first place. Carriers may also obtain additional information about you from consumer reporting agencies, motor vehicle records, and insurance loss history databases as part of underwriting.

Service providers

We use a small number of vendors who process information on our behalf and are contractually limited to using it only to provide services to us:

  • Lead routing and workflow — to deliver your quote request from the website into our agency's systems
  • Email and phone verification — to confirm the contact details you entered are valid
  • Geolocation — to estimate your approximate location from your IP address
  • Google — for address autocomplete, map display, web fonts, and advertising measurement
  • Meta (Facebook) — for advertising measurement, as described in the Cookies, pixels, and advertising section below
  • Website hosting — to serve the Site to your browser

Legal and safety

We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, court order, or regulatory request, including examinations by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions; to establish or defend legal claims; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our clients, our agency, or the public.

Business transfers

If our agency is sold, merged, or transferred — including in connection with a change in agency ownership or appointment — client information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the protections in this policy.

6. We do not sell your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We are not a lead generator and we do not operate a lead marketplace.

When you request a quote from Raquel Jimenez Insurance, that request stays with this agency. We do not sell, rent, trade, or auction your information to other insurance agencies, to lead aggregators, to comparison-shopping websites, or to any other third party for their own marketing purposes. You will not receive calls from a dozen agents because you filled out our form.

The only parties who receive your quote information are the insurance carriers who need it to price your coverage, and the service providers listed above who help us operate the agency.

Please note that "sharing" has a specific and much broader meaning under Arizona law than the ordinary sense of the word. Our use of advertising pixels, described in the next section, may qualify as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising even though no money changes hands and no one buys your information. We describe that practice openly below and explain how to opt out.

7. Cookies, pixels, and advertising

We use cookies and similar technologies, including advertising pixels provided by Meta (Facebook) and Google, to understand how people find and use our Site and to measure whether our advertising is working.

What these tools do

These pixels are small pieces of code that tell Meta and Google when someone visits certain pages or completes certain actions — for example, submitting a quote request. They allow us to:

  • Measure how many people who saw one of our ads went on to request a quote
  • Understand which ads, keywords, and campaigns actually bring people to us, so we do not waste money on the ones that do not
  • Show ads for our agency to people who have visited our Site, and to people with similar characteristics

These tools may set cookies in your browser and may transmit your IP address, browser and device information, and the pages you viewed to Meta and Google. Those companies may combine that information with data they already hold about you, and they act as independent controllers of the information they receive under their own privacy policies.

What we do not send

We do not pass the contents of your quote form — your name, date of birth, address, vehicle details, property details, or insurance history — to Meta, Google, or any other advertising platform.

How to opt out

You have several options, and using them will not affect your ability to get a quote or the price you are offered:

  • Global Privacy Control — if your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising for that browser
  • Meta — you can manage how Meta uses off-site activity through the "Off-Facebook Activity" and ad preference controls in your Facebook or Instagram account settings
  • Google — you can adjust or disable personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings
  • Your browser — most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings, and several offer built-in tracking protection
  • Contact us — you can also email us using the details in the How to reach us section and ask us to opt you out

8. Your Arizona privacy rights

Under the Arizona Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act

Because we are an insurance agency, Arizona's Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act (A.R.S. Title 20, Chapter 11) et seq. gives you specific rights regarding the personal information we record about you in connection with an insurance transaction. You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we have recorded about you, within 30 business days of a written request
  • Request correction, amendment, or deletion of information you believe is inaccurate, and to receive a written explanation if we decline
  • File a statement of dispute that we must include with any future disclosure of the information at issue
  • Be told the reasons for an adverse underwriting decision, and the source of the information on which it was based

To exercise these rights, write to us at the address in the How to reach us section.

Arizona has no comprehensive consumer privacy act

Unlike California, Arizona has not enacted a comprehensive consumer data privacy law. There is no Arizona equivalent of the CCPA, so there is no state statute giving you formal rights to access, delete, or opt out of the sale of your personal data, and no statutory response deadlines that bind us. Separately, personal information collected to provide you with insurance is regulated federally under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).

We think that is a poor reason to give you less, so as a matter of agency practice we will honor requests to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it where we are not required to retain it, and to opt out of advertising-related sharing — regardless of whether the statute technically obligates us. We will not discriminate against you for making any of these requests.

Some records must be retained regardless of a deletion request. Insurance producers are required by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions and by carrier agreements to keep transaction records for a set period, and we cannot delete information we are legally required to keep.

Direct-marketing disclosures

Some states let residents request a list of personal information disclosed to third parties for those parties' own direct marketing. Arizona has no such statute. Either way, we do not make those disclosures.

9. Your choices about contact

When you submit a quote request, you consent to be contacted about it by phone, text message, and email, including by automated means, at the number and address you provided. That consent is not a condition of purchasing anything.

  • Text messages — reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Calls — tell any member of our team you would like to be placed on our internal do-not-call list, and we will honor it.
  • Email — use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or contact us directly.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the contact details below. If you are an active client, we may still need to contact you about your policy — renewals, cancellations, and claims — because those communications are part of servicing your coverage rather than marketing.

10. How we protect your information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission of data submitted through this Site and access controls limiting who in our agency can view client information.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, or financial account details to us by ordinary email.

11. How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and client records for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our legal, regulatory, and carrier recordkeeping obligations. Insurance transaction records are generally retained for at least five years, and longer where a policy, claim, or dispute requires it. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.

12. Children's privacy

This Site is intended for adults seeking insurance. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Third-party websites

Our Site links to websites we do not control, including Farmers Insurance and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them. Review their privacy notices before providing information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices, our tools, or the law change. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will provide more prominent notice. Please review this page periodically.
